OMG this is one of my favorite episodes. It’s so important for me to be hearing about experiences like Joe’s and the impact of history and race on mental health (I’m white and training to be a mental health counselor, so I consider this a vital part of my training.) It was also so comforting to hear someone else talk about needing to cut out their family for the sake of their mental health, like I had to. I’m not a football fan and I’m not up on the comedy circuits so I didn’t know who he was, so this interview was a great find. I’m a fan now!
