03/08/2021 at 7:49 amLike Dan who posted above, I really loved this episode, for so many reasons. One was how Gabby opened with ‘I don’t think I have anything interesting to tell’ and then proceeded to share so many moving and relatable things.
I learned a lot from Gabby, and I loved being witness to the sweet, comfortable connection between Paul and Gabby.
When Gabby said that ‘feeling seen was her heroin’, I somehow felt less shame about my own situation, and more warmth and acceptance.
I’m starting to understand that I have this same problem. It isn’t really a ‘thing’ here in The Netherlands, love addiction, so I’m still in the early stages of grappling with this.
Luckily I’ve dealt with many other addictions before, so I can apply some of the same things now, though not all.
Thank you both, Gabby and Paul, you help me so very much.
