    I think maybe Erin was confusing “blackout” with passed out.
    She states you cannot give consent when blacked out drunk but that is absolutely not true.
    In fact, it’s very plausible that there is consent given but you have no memory of it.
    Others for the most part don’t know when someone is blacked out.
    It’s a very difficult situation but you are absolutely communicating during a blackout.
